Political Party Ad Tracker — March 5, 2018

What a week! Lots of shake-ups.

The Liberals are trying something new to get donations. The Conservatives are in full attack mode. The NDP are reviving themselves online.

Check out the week that was in our Political Party Ad Tracker!

Liberal Party of Canada

The Liberals are still running their proven signup ads, but they are also seeking out donations in a creative way.

Want an all expenses paid trip to Halifax to hangout with Canada’s Prime Minister?

All you have to do is donate to the Liberal Party!

You mean, I could go to this beautiful place just for donating a few bucks to the Liberals?

What a deal!

Smart donation tactic by the Liberals here.

The ad should push cost-conscious Liberals who wanted to attend the convention up the ladder of engagement.

No ad tracker is complete without a classic Liberal signup ad.

Conservative Party of Canada

The Conservatives are on the attack.

Liberal MPs are in the crosshairs.

Good question.

Minister Sohi’s constituents may now be asking him the same one.

This Atwal guy is popular with Liberals it seems.

These targeted ads will cause problems for Liberal MPs in the crosshairs of this Conservative attack.

Justin Trudeau has poor judgment.

A central Conservative message.

The party is good at quickly linking central messages with key issues that arise.

The Atwal story had barely broken, and the Conservatives were already hammering him online for poor judgment.

Another key issue ad.

This time in response to the Liberal budget.

Why stop at “poor judgment” when you can also attack Trudeau’s policies?

New Democratic Party

The NDP is in the process of online revival.

They’re running more ads this week than they’ve run in the last two weeks combined.

Strong visual. Strong message.

The NDP should keep running signup ads that showcase their new leader and grow their e-mail list.

Standing up for the average Joe and Josephine.

Ensuring every Canadian can get ahead.

The NDP is starting to build a cohesive narrative online.

It’s rare to see the NDP run ads more than one week in a row.

This relatable and engaging ad is an exception.

Ah, Phoenix. The infamous government pay system.

It’s surprising the NDP hasn’t run any ads on the issue up until now.
